One of regular clients from Xinyue Steel Group sent a inquiry: oil & gas pipeline, API 5L PSL2 X42 Seamless Steel Pipe, normalized, size DN100 & DN150, total quantity of 150tons. The client requests pipes should be qualified with standard API and also with below requests:

1.Hydraulic Test

According to API standard, pipes are qualified as long as it undertook pressure of 20.5MPA and keep for at least 5 seconds. While client requests pressure should be 32.7MPA for DN100, 21.5MPA for DN150.

2. Impact Test

According to API standard, 0 Deg.C impact test is not required for size DN100 and the min CVN is 34J for size DN150 pipe. While client requests both sizes should be tested and the Min CVN is 60J, and we also should complete CVN tests at -25 Deg.C and provide results.

For documents, the ITP, MPS, production schedule should be offered within one week after PO, NDT test report, Hydraulic test report, impact test report, heat treatment report, material certificate, tally sheet, packing list etc should be offered within two weeks before delivery and the Final Documentation Dossier (MDR - Manufacturers Data Report) should be offered within one week before delivery.

Xinyue Steel Group didn’t despised & neglected such order with little quantity, barely reached the MOQ, while the requirements are very strict & complicated to processing. All of our pipes accepted manufacturing supervision and were perfectly passed all tests which supervised by designated TPI from client, the APPLUS.
